Back on the cruise ship, on our way to Juneau

peoplelivehereforwebIt’s a very different experience to watch the land seem to go by; the sea was so smooth most of the time we didn’t really feel a sensation of a boat moving through water. Wind, of course, but it wasn’t that noticeable on our balcony. So it seemed we were still and a world was moving smoothly, quietly,  evenly by us.

The stillness. That was something I didn’t expect. Outside, on the balcony, it was quiet. An occasional airplane engine. But those were heard only near the town. Once we headed out, hardly any noises.
